Welcome to the Blackmore Vale Lodge
We are one of the forty nine lodges which make up the Province of Dorset. We meet in Sturminster Newton, just one of the seventeen meeting venues across the county.

We usually meet at 6:30 on the last Friday of January, February, March, April, May, June, September, October and November.
Installation is at the October meeting, start time 4:45.

We are a very friendly lodge and have members from all over North Dorset and beyond.

Blackmore Vale Celebrate the Tercentenary in Style
What are we going to do to mark the Tercentenary' was the question at the March 2016 Committee meeting.
A few ideas were put forward, then some bright spark suggested 'Why don't we have a ceremony where the officers taking part are dressed up in period costume?'.

Blackmore Vale Lodge wins 10th Dorset Masonic Quiz Final
Blackmore Vale Lodge gained our fourth successive win in the Dorset Masonic Knowledge Quiz. Instituted by our Past Provincial Grand Master, Harry Barnes, ten years ago, the Quiz has gone from strength to strength with teams from all over Dorset competing in this fun and educational event.
The heats and semi-finals encourage inter-lodge visiting and the very healthy competition was great fun for all involved. more...

A great night was had by all as Trevor Legg was installed by Mark Harrold.

At a boxing event at the Exchange, Sturminster Newton on Saturday night, our Worshipful Master, Trevor Legg presented a cheque to Shaun Weeks of Sturminster Newton Amateur Boxing Club. The club will be using the money for new sparring gloves and headgear.

Blackmore Vale Lodge Supports Local Youth Club Initiative
Worshipful Master Trevor Legg handing over a donation of £250 from Blackmore Vale Lodge to Youngsters from the SturYouth Duke of Edinburgh Team.
The Club is raising money for a a Public Access Community Defibrillator. The idea came about after members of SturYouth Club took part in the British Heart Foundation's 'Restart a Heart' day last Autumn. During the evening a total of 36 young people were trained in CPR and how to use a defibrillator. more...
Blackmore Vale Ladies Night Raises £800 for Dementia Care
On Saturday 16th June the Blackmore Vale Masonic Lodge No.3625 held their annual Ladies Festival in the Sealy Suite at Crown Hotel in Blandford hosted by the current Master of the Lodge, Worshipful Brother Trevor Legg and his wife Julie.
99 Brethren, wives, partners and guests enjoyed a very good night. The nominated charity for the evening was the Amenities Fund of the Maiden Castle Residential Dementia Care Home in Dorchester. more...

Not a phrase usually associated with Football, but on this occasion, highly appropriate as this is what Sturminster Newton Ladies' Football Team will be buying with the money donated to them by Blackmore Vale Lodge, funds raised at our September meeting.
The team started life in February this year with just 3 members but now has a squad of 20 with ages ranges from 17-50. more...
