Welcome to Purbeck Lodge
Welcome to Purbeck Lodge Number 4355.
We meet at the Masonic Hall, 57 Ashley Road, Branksome, Poole, Dorset on the first Wednesday October to July.
Purbeck Lodge is stepped in history it was founded by serving officers of the Royal Tank Regiment based at Worgret Camp in Wareham during the reign of King George V it received its warrant from the United Grand Lodge of England in 1921.
It is a very popular Lodge and has a vibrant membership with more than 56 subscribing members and an age range extending from 25 to 88 years. Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds with different occupations, skills, and leisure interests.
A large part of freemasonry is charitable donations given by all freemasons freely and comes from the heart. We raise funds each year by competing in sponsored events, BBQ's and monthly raffles, masonic and non-masonic charities receive our help.
The meal at our festive board following each Lodge meeting has a convivial and lively atmosphere, there is plenty of conversation and speeches are short.
Our ladies evening is a very special event every year. Together with other social events usually every month, we have a very busy calendar.
From the very first Lodge meeting we make sure our new members get a very warm and enthusiastic welcome and are introduced to the members of the Lodge, we also make sure they are comfortable with the Lodge procedures.
Ideal Candidate
We would encourage any man over the age of 21 who lives his life according to a set of values to contact us. We seek as members those who commit to a regular attendance at Lodge meetings and wish to contribute to the life and work of the Lodge itself.
A warm welcome awaits. Anyone interested in finding out more about Freemasonry please contact.
