White Table Evening

White Table Evening Thursday 21st Sep 2017

Portland Lodge 1037 held a White Table Evening for its September Meeting, overseen by our WM, WBro Ron Haggett.

It was attended by an impressive 34 Guests, both male and female, including the PGM for Dorset, RW Bro Richard Merritt, accompanied by his Deputy PGM, VWBro Nigel Leonard and WBro Greg Morum, PrGStwd.

The Lodge having opened, carried out the business of the month and closed again in record time, opened its doors to the visitors.

The Deputy PGM gave an introduction, explaining the purpose of the White Table event, and handed over to the PGM who gave an in-depth talk on the origins and activities of Freemasonry.

VWBro Nigel Leonard next briefly introduced the Officers of the Lodge, with a precis of their duties

There followed a successful festive board. 64 people, Masons and non-Masons, were sitting together in Peace, Order and Harmony.

A most successful evening, and one which will hopefully produce some good quality candidates.
